Dr. Rotenberg has a unique combination of certifications in Child Neurology,
Epilepsy, Brain Injury, Sleep Medicine, and Behavioral Neurology. This rare
blend of expertise helps him understand and treat a wide range of
neurologic conditions in children and adolescents, offering comprehensive
care tailored to your child’s needs. As one of only approximately ten
specialists in the United States board-certified in Behavioral Neurology,
Dr. Rotenberg provides a level of diagnostic precision rarely found in
private practice.

Before leading Houston Specialty Clinic, Dr. Rotenberg served in the United States Air Force for 10 years. His military medical career provided him with advanced diagnostic training often reserved for elite fellowships.

During his service, he rose to become the Chief of Pediatric Neurology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, where he pioneered regional brain-cooling programs for newborns and advanced treatments like Vagal Nerve Stimulation (VNS) and ketogenic diet therapies.

Recognizing the challenges families face when traveling for specialized care, Dr. Rotenberg has pioneered telemedicine services to bridge the gap for patients with epilepsy and neurological disorders.

In addition to his clinical work, he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Texas at Houston and Sam Houston School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also the co-founder of Academy Diagnostics, an American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) accredited center.
​
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Rotenberg is a father of four. He is an active advocate for families dealing with neurological illnesses and enjoys photography, scouting, gardening, and traveling with his family and dogs.
