Amee Moreno,

Dr. Amee Moreno is a highly decorated Doctor of Nursing Practice and a dual-certified

Primary and Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. With a career rooted in some of the

most demanding clinical environments, Amee provides Houston Specialty Clinic patients

with an elite level of specialized neurological and rehabilitative care.

Amee’s clinical background is distinguished by her work in high-acuity pediatric settings. She began

her career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) before specializing in Neurosurgery and Physical

Medicine and Rehabilitation at Texas Children’s Hospital.

In 2016, her dedication to surgical excellence was recognized when she received the prestigious Department of Surgery Nurse Practitioner of the Year award.

Amee is passionate about helping children navigate complex recovery and long-term health challenges. Her primary clinical interests include:

​

• Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI): Expert management of recovery and neurological follow-up.

• Cerebral Palsy: Providing comprehensive care and physical medicine strategies to improve quality of life.

• Mental Health Disorders: Addressing the psychological well-being of pediatric patients alongside their physical health.

As a mother of five children, Amee understands the daily joys and challenges of parenthood firsthand. When she isn't caring for patients, she loves being outdoors, riding horses, and spending quality time with her family.
